If you don't want to take on the racing mode, you can always pick the free driving mode, which is also available in 2P, which gives you the chance to stroll around the cyber city and relax while driving around.

The racing mode is the exciting one, where you do your best to drive faster than the other car and be the first one crossing the finish line before the timer runs out. You can do this on six awesome and fun tracks, and after completing each race you will be able to unlock faster and cooler cars.

As for how you control the cars, Player 1 will use the arrows to move and N for nitro, while Player 2 will use the W, A, S, D keys, and the T key to activate nitro.
