Do not let the blocks be caught by the drill, but instead try and get as further down below as you can. You will have platforms that have different colors, and a block can enter through a platform only if it is the opposite color, so move the black block on the white platform and the white block on the black platform.

When you see a platform that is both black and white, it means you have to bring the two blocks together and combine them into one to descend. To move the blocks left, right, as well as downwards, one player uses the arrow keys while the second player will use the W, A, S, D keys, simple as that.
