There are going to be lines of icons with your favorite characters from the show on them. You have to draw lines between at least two items of the same kind, and they have to be one next to the other, and that means both horizontally and vertically. In doing so, you eliminate those items and get points in return.

When the bar down below fills up completely, a new row of items is added below, and you have to keep eliminating items without letting the icons reach the top of the screen because then you lose.
